In an effort to enhance the level of profession and competitiveness of domestic or foreign students, research assistants, postdoctoral researchers and others (collectively referred to as “applicants”) engaging in biomedical molecular imaging research, the Committee of Biomedical Molecular Imaging & Molecular Imaging Center Symposium of National Taiwan University has developed the regulations regarding Best Paper & Poster Awards.

 

To ensure Best Paper Awards will be conducted in fair and ethical proceedings, the evaluation committee will make their decision completely based on academic merits. If there is any behavioral controversy in opposition to the anticipation of the regulations, the evaluation committee may take necessary actions to maintain the reputation and integrity of Best Paper Awards.

 

Applicants should be the First or the Second authors of the contributed papers and the Advisor Professors have to be the Co-author of the papers. Furthermore, Best Paper Awards shall only accept one applicant to submit a piece of work for paper campaigning. Applicants will be bound to provide individual qualification of identification or graduation if necessary, and probably the eligibility of Best Paper Awards will be dismissed because of disqualification. Most of all, the eligibility of Best Paper Awards will be suspended if the applicants are unable to participate the evaluation strategies in person.

 

The campaign of Best Paper Awards will be executed in two aspects, “Best Paper Awards” and “Best Poster Awards”. Firstly, the submitted papers will be evaluated by the committee before the conference. In poster session, all applicants have to prepare themselves to fit the presentation requests. According to applicants’ debate or response to evaluation committee’s inquiries personally, six outstanding performers will be chose and asked to present their research in the Conference Hall. Top three of them will be determined and ranked for “Best Paper Awards” owing to their thorough performance. The others will be praised for “Best Poster Awards”.

The applicants of the meritorious papers are going to be awarded certificate and premium in order to encourage their excellent performance and dedication to research. Furthermore, the consequent of Best Paper & Poster Awards will be announced in the closing ceremony and on the website of Molecular Imaging Center.
